Led by Barbara Lawhorn, attendees will build on the spiritual resonance of ILYM’s Annual Sessions and engage in deep listening and story sharing as hope practitioners and agents of change.  Small group, intergenerational interviews will connect us in shared cares and concerns within our faith and the contemporary world, and provide occasions for exploring differences and expanding empathy. Queries, Crafts, & Creative Writing stations will be cycled through, providing brief, imaginative prompts centered on fostering hope practices and occasions for joy in our daily life. Finally, we’ll act as cartographers, “mapping” ways we can be individual sparks or collective igniters of change in our daily lives and wider worlds. We’ll learn about Among Friends’ rich history and ways we can add our voices, stories, and faith experiences to its established choir. Sunday morning will include a “Salon for Sharing” where we will engage in the courageous act of sharing our stories and listening with our entire selves, with a willingness to water the seeds of change that are planted in the process.
