Clerk: Takes office at rise of meeting in which nomination is approved, normally Spring session of an odd-numbered year.

• Prepares a tentative agenda before each Meeting for Business, and recognizes speakers during the meeting.
• Discerns when the meeting has reached a decision, and articulates it back to the meeting for approval.
• Signs letters and other documents on behalf of the meeting and at its direction.
• Checks minutes provided by the Recording Clerk after each session, keeps and maintains the BRQ minute book, and makes sure minutes are archived at the University of Illinois Library, sent to monthly meetings, distributed over the BRQ email list, and posted on this website.
• Forwards business as necessary from BRQ to Illinois Yearly Meeting.
• Attends meetings of the ILYM Continuing Committee.
• Current Clerk is David Wixom (term ends Spring 2013; Dawn Rubbert has been appointed to serve Spring 2013-Spring 2015)

Recording Clerk: Takes office at rise of meeting in which nomination is approved, normally Spring session of an odd-numbered year.

• Takes minutes during Meeting for Business, sharing responsibility with the Clerk and the meeting as a whole for formulating the specific wording.
• Provides the Clerk with a copy of the minutes after meeting has ended.
• Current Recording Clerk is Steve Tamari (through Spring 2015)

Treasurer: Takes office at rise of meeting in which nomination is approved, normally Spring session of an odd-numbered year.

• Receives and disburses funds on behalf of the meeting
• Maintains meeting bank account
• Reports each meeting on the meeting's income, expenses, balance, and overall financial condition.
• Current Treasurer is Margie Haworth (through Spring 2015)

Nominating Committee: Is appointed from the floor of the meeting during Fall session of an even-numbered year; takes office immediately. Normally consists of at least two Friends from different meetings.

• Discerns potential nominees for Clerk, Recording Clerk and Treasurer, and investigates their availability and willingness to serve.
• Proposes nominees to the meeting as a whole for confirmation, normally in the Spring session of an odd-numbered year.
